Job Description

Join our team: Poly-Flow is seeking an Inventory Control Lead to join our industrial purchasing department. As an Inventory Control Lead you will plan procurement practices to control inventory levels, maximize efficiencies, and incorporate best supply chain practices to minimize inventory loss. This position will require distribution of your time to 60% office and 40% warehouse. What you will do:
  • Support managing materials to meet all market demands while avoiding oversupply
  • Review invoices and accounting documentation to ensure accuracy
  • Enter purchase orders for materials
  • Monitor product distribution operations
  • Produce regular progress reports
  • Manage inventory through internal Sage inventory Management system
  • Conduct routine inventory cycle counts and audits
  • Assist in raw materials and product planning
  • Oversee excess stock and reconciliation of inventory
  • Train staff on inventory processes
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Ability to resolve problems in a timely manner
  • Gathers and analyzes information skillfully
  • Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations
  • Strong negotiation and analytic skill
  • Prioritize and plan work activities based on daily need with competing priorities and deadlines, and last minute changes
  • Ability to use time efficiently and develop realistic action plans
  • Dependable, reliable, and consistent
  • Ability to follow and respond to management direction appropriately, and capable of proactively soliciting feedback to improve performance
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other employees, managers, and external relationships while maintaining confidentiality
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Preferred:
Experience with merchandising software systems a plus (Prodfit31 or Tribute)
  • At least 1 year of inventory control
  • At least 1 year of purchasing
Physical Requirements:
  • Frequent use of computer systems, with routine typing and sitting for prolonged periods of time.
  • Will involve occasional time within a warehouse environment with varying levels of noise, temperature, and metal materials
