This role is vital in ensuring seamless coordination between inbound and outbound logistics, optimizing warehouse distribution, and maintaining high standards of inventory control and transportation management. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in warehouse supervision, supply chain management, and logistics operations, with a strong focus on process improvement and continuous enhancement of operational workflows. As a key leader within our logistics team, the Cross Dock Manager will drive operational excellence, manage freight and shipping activities, and support overall supply chain objectives to meet business demands effectively. Responsibilities Oversee daily cross-docking operations to ensure timely and accurate transfer of goods between inbound and outbound shipments Coordinate transportation planning, including fleet management, dispatching, and freight scheduling to optimize delivery efficiency Supervise warehouse staff involved in shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and inventory management activities Implement process improvement initiatives utilizing Lean principles to enhance workflow efficiency and reduce waste Manage transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and ERP systems to track shipments, inventory levels, and operational data Monitor profit & loss metrics related to logistics activities to control costs and improve profitability Ensure compliance with safety standards, forklift operation protocols, and regulatory requirements across all warehouse functions Collaborate with procurement teams on purchasing decisions, demand planning, and materials management Conduct regular supply chain analytics to identify bottlenecks and opportunities for continuous improvement Lead efforts in inventory control, demand forecasting, production planning, and supply chain optimization Maintain strong relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PL) and NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier) partners for seamless freight operations Prepare budgets for warehouse distribution activities while tracking expenses related to transportation and procurement Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse supervisor roles with a minimum of 5 years managing cross-dock or distribution center operations Extensive knowledge of supply chain management, logistics processes, inventory control, and warehouse management systems Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS), ERP platforms such as AS400 or equivalent enterprise software Strong understanding of profit & loss analysis, budgeting, procurement procedures, and process improvement methodologies like Lean or Continuous Improvement frameworks Hands-on experience supervising teams involved in shipping & receiving, freight handling, dispatching, and fleet management Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS), supply chain analytics tools, and demand planning software Ability to lead operational projects that enhance efficiency while maintaining safety standards Excellent communication skills with the ability to coordinate across multiple departments including procurement, production planning, and logistics providers If you are a dynamic leader with a passion for optimizing supply chain operations through innovative solutions and strategic oversight, we encourage you to apply.
