Job Description

Family owned and operated business for 70 years currently has an opening for a full time Parts Manager/Service Coordinator in our Keystone Construction & Mining Equipment Branch. Position Summary The Parts Manager / Service Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the parts department operations and coordinating service activities for heavy construction equipment. This role ensures efficient parts inventory management, supports technicians with timely parts availability, schedules service work, and delivers excellent customer service to minimize equipment downtime. Key Responsibilities Parts Management Manage daily operations of the parts department. Maintain accurate inventory levels of heavy equipment parts and supplies. Order parts from manufacturers. Conduct regular cycle counts and annual inventory audits. Process parts sales, returns, and core credits. Ensure proper storage, labeling, and organization of parts. Service Coordination Schedule service technicians for field and shop repairs. Open, manage, and close work orders accurately and efficiently. Coordinate parts availability with scheduled service work. Communicate with customers regarding repair timelines, costs, and service updates. Prioritize urgent breakdowns to minimize customer downtime. Assist in preparing repair estimates and service quotes. Maintain service history records for equipment. Customer Service Serve as primary point of contact for parts and service inquiries. Provide accurate parts identification and pricing. Resolve customer concerns professionally and promptly. Build and maintain strong customer relationships. Administrative & Compliance Ensure warranty claims are processed correctly and submitted on time. Maintain safety compliance within parts and service areas. Track technician labor hours and productivity. Generate reports on parts sales, inventory levels, and service performance. Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in heavy construction equipment, diesel equipment, or related industry. Strong knowledge of heavy equipment parts and components (hydraulics, engines, electrical systems, etc.). Experience with service scheduling and work order management. Proficiency in inventory management systems and Microsoft Office. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Strong communication and customer service skills. Mechanical aptitude preferred. Valid driver's license required. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to work in shop and warehouse environments. Occasional field visits may be required.
