Eurofins offers a portfolio of over 200,000 analytical methods to evaluate the safety, identity, composition, authenticity, origin, traceability and purity of biological substances and products. Job DescriptionField Logistics ManagerAbout the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Field Logistics Manager to lead and scale our field sample collection operations. This role sits at the intersection of people leadership, financial accountability, and operational execution — ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic, science-driven environments and can drive consistency across distributed field teams.

Key ResponsibilitiesPeople & Personnel ManagementRecruit, onboard, train, and develop field collection staff across multiple sites or regionsEstablish performance standards, conduct regular reviews, and manage corrective action processesBuild scheduling systems to ensure appropriate coverage, reduce overtime costs, and maintain compliance with labor regulationsFoster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement in the fieldField Sample Collection OperationsOversee end-to-end sample collection workflows, ensuring adherence to SOPs, chain-of-custody protocols, and regulatory requirementsMonitor collection volumes, turnaround times, and quality metrics; implement corrective measures when KPIs fall outside acceptable rangesPartner with laboratory operations and logistics teams to ensure samples are transported, logged, and processed without disruptionMaintain equipment inventory, calibration schedules, and supply chain for all field collection materialsP&L OversightOwn the operational budget for the field logistics function, including labor, supplies, fleet, and third-party vendorsTrack and report on cost-per-sample, labor utilization, and other financial KPIs on a regular cadenceIdentify and execute cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality or complianceCollaborate with finance and senior leadership on forecasting, variance analysis, and annual planningChange Management & Process ImprovementLead the rollout of new protocols, technologies, and operational structures across field teamsDevelop and deliver change communication plans that build buy-in and minimize disruptionUse data and field feedback to identify process gaps; champion lean or continuous improvement initiativesAct as a key liaison between corporate/central operations and frontline field staff during periods of organizational changeGeneral OperationsEnsure compliance with all applicable regulatory standards Maintain and improve field operations documentation including SOPs, training materials, and audit readiness resourcesManage vendor and contractor relationships supporting field logisticsServe as an escalation point for operational issues, safety incidents, and client-impacting events QualificationsQualifications5+ years of experience in field operations, logistics, or collections-based services; life sciences, environmental, or healthcare preferred2+ years of direct people management experience with distributed or mobile teamsDemonstrated P&L ownership or significant budget management responsibilityProven ability to lead change initiatives across frontline workforcesFamiliarity with regulatory environments governing sample collection or field servicesStrong analytical skills; comfortable working with operational dashboards, scheduling tools, and LIMS or similar platformsExcellent communication skills — able to translate corporate priorities into actionable direction for field staffWillingness to travel to field sites as neededPreferredBachelor's degree in operations management, life sciences, public health, or a related fieldExperience with continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma)Background in a high-volume, regulated industry (clinical diagnostics, environmental testing, occupational health)
