JOB SUMMARY
LYME's Director of Supply Chain oversees the entire lifecycle of products—from sourcing to final delivery—optimizing logistics, inventory, and purchasing to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and high customer service levels. They create strategic plans, manage vendor relationships, and implement technologies to improve operational performance. Major Functions/Accountabilities
  • Strategic Planning o Develop and implement company-wide logistics, procurement, and inventory strategies.
  • Logistics and Distribution o Manages shipping and coordinates third party warehousing to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery.
  • Inventory and Demand Planning o Analyze inventory levels and forecasts to prevent shortages and optimize turnover.
  • Procurement and Vendor Management o Negotiate with suppliers and manage vendor relationships.
  • Process Improvement o Identifies opportunities for automation, technological improvements, and cost reduction.
  • Team Leadership o Effectively lead, mentor, and supervise staff.
  • Uphold the LYME Standard.
  • Establish strong, professional relationships with customers, prospects, coworkers, and vendors, based on solid rapport and trust.
  • Adhere to Lyme policies, code of ethics and conduct, and standard of doing business.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to continuing professional and personal development through:
  • Active participation in and support of Lyme's ongoing development and training efforts
  • Obtaining appropriate service and/or sales certifications
  • Remaining current in industry trends through relevant training, trade show attendance, reading of trade journals, etc.
  • Other duties or projects, as assigned by the COO.
Skills/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or similar. MBA preferred
  • Proven experience in procurement, sales operations, or logistics
  • Strong negotiation capabilities and cross-functional communication skills
  • Financial analysis skills
  • Proficiency in CRM/ERP software (e.
g. NetSuite, Contraqer), and strategic leadership abilities
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
