The Impact You'll Make in this Role Reporting to the VP of Global Logistics and Distribution, the Director of the Global Warehousing Center of Excellence (CoE) leads a high‑impact team of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and Project Managers that shapes the future of warehousing capabilities for a mostly outsourced global network. This senior leader defines global standards, drives innovation and continuous improvement, and ensures consistent performance across the distribution center (DC) network, in close partnership with regional logistics organizations - the primary internal customers of all CoE programs and initiatives. The role requires a strategic leader with deep warehousing expertise, strong knowledge of healthcare/regulated environments, and the ability to influence across a complex, global matrix. The Director ensures that the CoE delivers best‑in‑class solutions — through a network of selected logistics partners — that enhance service, optimize cost, and remain state of the art in the industry.The key responsibilities include:
Strategic Leadership Define and execute the vision and roadmap for the Warehousing CoE, aligned with the global logistics and supply chain strategy. Establish governance frameworks, standards and performance expectations for warehousing processes across all regions and 3PLs. Drive performance excellence through the DC Network by developing best-in-class KPIs and governance for 3PLs. Foster a global quality and compliance culture within the 3PL network, ensuring consistent regulatory rigor and GDP standards across all sites. Capability Development Lead the design and implementation of future-state warehousing capabilities, including technology, processes, and people skills. Partner with Digital Supply Chain / IT to evaluate and deploy warehousing technologies (e.g., WMS, advanced analytics) that improve service, cost, and compliance. Cooperate with Logistics Procurement to continuously improve outsourcing and DC tendering capabilities, including 3PL selection criteria, contract templates and governance. Stakeholder Engagement Partner with regional logistics teams to understand business needs and ensure CoE initiatives deliver measurable value. Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on warehousing strategy and emerging trends. Team Leadership Build, develop, and inspire a high-performing team of SMEs and Project Managers, fostering a culture of process excellence, collaboration and continuous improvement. Set clear roles, responsibilities, performance goals and career development paths within and beyond the CoE. Performance Management Define KPIs and monitor performance of warehousing programs and outsourced providers. Drive cost optimization, service improvements and logistic resilience through data-driven, decision-making and cross-functional collaboration, especially with Logistics Procurement and Digital SC teams. Regularly participate in QBRs with top 3PLs, driving strategic supplier management and continuously enhancing the bar on process excellence, quality and sustainability. Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business AND twelve (12) years of progressive experience in warehousing management, logistics, or supply chain operations, with exposure to outsourced/3PL networks. In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required: Master's Degree or higher Experience in change management, leading global warehousing programs and managing outsourced providers. Strong understanding of OSHA regulations, GDP and experience managing Dangerous Goods and Medical devices. Experience with Business Transformation in similar strategic functions, including ERP deployments and/or integrations. Demonstrated Lean / Six Sigma expertise, to model continuous improvement mindset and drive waste out of the system via regular on-site 3PL engagement. Strong leadership and team development capabilities, with experience building and leading diverse, global teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and articulate trade-offs clearly. Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills across global, matrixed organizations. Deep knowledge of warehousing technologies, automation, analytics, and best practices in outsourced/3PL environments. Strategic thinker with ability to translate vision into actionable plans and to drive change and adoption. Results-oriented with a focus on delivering measurable impact. Innovative mindset and ability to challenge the status quo. Strong communication and presentation skills at executive level.Work location:

The expected compensation range for this position is $211,600 - $290,950, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
