GED Full Job Description City/State Norfolk, VA Work Shift Rotating Overview:
Full-Time, Rotating The Supervisor for Supply Chain reports to the Supply Chain Manager of the applicable hospital and oversees daily operational activities of supply chain associates in areas of inventory management and receiving. The TC will represent Supply Chain with the respective hospital leadership in conjunction and in the absence of the Supply Chain Manager. Trains, coaches, mentors and supervises all Supply Chain Associate I & II. Creates and maintains a work schedule for Supply Chain Associates that ensures hospital needs are met as it related to the distribution of products managed under Supply Chain. Responsible for the delivery of high-quality services that meets or exceeds customer expectations. Assist in the training and development of a highly motivated team that work efficiently and effectively in providing services to hospital departments and operating centers. Act as department lead when necessary. Achieve system, hospital and departmental goals and objectives. Supports and communicates Sentara mission, values, and goals. Education HS - High School Grad or Equivalent Bachelor's Degree preferred Certification/Licensure No specific certification or licensure requirements Experience 5 years of Supply Chain 3 years of Supervisory Experience preferred .

Our hospital completed a renovation in 2016, including two new patient towers, a beautiful atrium, and a multi-story parking garage. Sentara Leigh Hospital includes a dedicated Orthopedic Hospital providing patients access to a full continuum of orthopedic care, from the preoperative phase and surgery to rehabilitation and home care services. Along with being a recognized accredited Primary Stroke Center, and Magnet hospital for nursing excellence, we also specialize in orthopedic and spine care, heart, vascular, maternity care, and general surgery. We are also home to the region's only 24-hour hyperbaric oxygen program that helps speed up the healing of carbon monoxide poisoning, wounds that won't heal, infections in which tissues are starved for oxygen, airborne chemical exposures, and scuba diving accidents.
