The Global Supply Chain Manager, Switches and Shifters, is responsible for owning and executing global commodity strategies for a critical portfolio of components and services. This role is accountable for delivering business results across cost, quality, delivery, and risk while ensuring program execution and production stability. Operating with a high degree of independence, this role requires a strong leader who can translate business requirements into actionable sourcing strategies, drive cross-functional alignment, and resolve complex supply chain challenges in a fast-paced, global environment. Build and Develop Team Capability:
Lead, mentor, and develop talent within the sourcing organization, setting clear expectations, driving accountability, and building a high-performing team culture
Own Commodity Strategy & Execution:
Develop and execute global sourcing strategies aligned to program timing, cost targets, and business objectives, ensuring disciplined execution across sourcing, contracting, and supplier integration.
Deliver Business Results :
Achieve cost, quality, delivery, and performance targets, including cost reductions and total cost of ownership improvements.
Lead Cross-Functional Alignment:
Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, and Program Management to align sourcing strategies with product development and launch milestones, driving alignment across a complex matrix organization
Lead Sourcing & Commercial Negotiations:
Execute sourcing events and lead complex supplier negotiations, establishing agreements that balance cost, performance, flexibility, and risk
Manage Supplier Performance & Risk :
Own strategic supplier relationships, including performance management, capacity planning, risk mitigation, and issue resolution to ensure continuity of supply
Solve Complex Supply Chain Challenges:
Apply structured, data-driven problem-solving to address disruptions, cost pressures, and operational risks, driving sustainable outcomes
Drive Continuous Improvement & Market Insight :
Lead improvements in sourcing processes and tools while leveraging market intelligence, cost drivers, and industry trends to inform decisions
Ensure Compliance :
Uphold purchasing policies, ethical sourcing, and sustainability standards. You'll have... Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field 5+ years of experience building, developing, and leading high-performing teams, including setting direction, coaching talent, and driving accountability in a matrixed organization 7+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, purchasing, or commodity management within a global or complex manufacturing environment 7+ years of experience owning and executing sourcing or commodity strategies end-to-end, including RFQs, cost analysis, supplier selection, and contract execution 7+ years of experience leading complex supplier negotiations and commercial agreements, balancing cost, risk, and long-term value Proven track record of delivering measurable business results, including cost reductions, cost avoidance, and improvements in quality and delivery performance Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence without direct authority across Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, and Program Management Strong capability in structured, data-driven problem solving, with experience resolving supply chain disruptions Experience in supplier performance management and risk mitigation, including capacity planning and issue resolution in a production environment Even better, you may have... This position is leadership level 6 and ranges from $115,500-$218,100. Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
