The Supply Chain Supervisor - Auburn role offers a strong opportunity for a motivated supply chain or production control professional who is eager to grow into within Donaldson. Supporting a fastpaced manufacturing environment, the position focuses on production planning, scheduling, and materials management using Oracle systems to drive reliable execution and inventory accuracy. The role partners with Donaldson's customer support and sales teams to help meet customer commitments, manage tight timelines, and support critical customers. Through disciplined production control, investigation of inventory discrepancies, and continuous improvement, this position directly supports Donaldson's commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction Qualified candidates must be able to work an on-site schedule at our Auburn, AL facility daily.
Role Responsibilities:
Supervises and coordinates activities of buyers and planners/schedulers in expediting the flow of materials, parts and assemblies and scheduling the production operations. Evaluates data such as job orders, product specifications, operations sheets, materials inventory, etc. Establishes efficient allocation and scheduling of parts, materials, machines and sequences of operations and workflow. Manages inventory by evaluating cycle count, accuracy of records and inventory location. Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules and expedites workflow. Works with all plant departments to resolve problems affecting production schedules. Conducts meetings with suppliers. Provides information and instruction to departments to ensure employees have information required to perform their jobs correctly. Prepares composite reports from individual reports. Supervises cost reduction projects working with suppliers, engineering, production and corporate to achieve desired results. Handles errors and complaints by working with department and customers to ensure they are addressed and resolved. Establishes procedures for production control activities. Provides training to support established procedures. Assigns duties and reviews work for accuracy and adherence to policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree 2+ years of production control or manufacturing experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior supervisory experience in a production control or manufacturing environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong Oracle and MS Office skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Lean/Six Sigma experience a plus
Relocation:
This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.
