First Shift Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee transportation, warehousing, shipping, receiving, and inventory movement activities within a manufacturing environment. This individual will be responsible for ensuring efficient and compliant movement of materials and finished goods while supporting production schedules, customer delivery requirements, inventory accuracy, and operational cost objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership experience, a background in manufacturing logistics, and knowledge of domestic and international shipping processes. Key Responsibilities Manage daily inbound and outbound logistics operations, including domestic and international shipments. Ensure timely receipt of raw materials, components, and supplies to support manufacturing operations. Coordinate outbound shipments to customers, suppliers, and service partners. Resolve transportation, freight, customs, and shipping-related issues to minimize disruptions. Lead shipping, receiving, and warehouse teams to ensure safe, accurate, and efficient material handling. Oversee packaging, labeling, documentation, and shipment preparation in accordance with customer and regulatory requirements. Maintain inventory integrity through accurate transaction processing and material traceability practices. Manage warehouse organization, storage utilization, material flow, and space optimization. Partner with production, planning, procurement, and inventory teams to support inventory accuracy initiatives, cycle counts, and physical inventories. Develop and implement process improvements that enhance logistics performance, throughput, and operational efficiency. Manage relationships with carriers, freight providers, and third-party logistics partners. Monitor freight expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings while maintaining service levels. Ensure appropriate transportation methods are selected based on delivery requirements, cost, and urgency. Maintain compliance with import/export regulations and applicable shipping requirements. Support training and development initiatives related to logistics processes, shipping compliance, and operational procedures. Ensure proper documentation, record retention, and audit readiness for logistics transactions and shipping activities. Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, customer support, quality, procurement, planning, and finance teams. Support new product launches, product transitions, and operational initiatives requiring logistics coordination. Utilize ERP systems to execute logistics transactions and maintain accurate operational data. Establish, monitor, and report key performance indicators (KPIs), including on-time delivery, freight performance, inventory accuracy, receiving efficiency, and shipping cycle times. Leadership Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop warehouse, shipping, and receiving personnel. Establish performance expectations and drive accountability across logistics functions. Promote a culture focused on safety, compliance, teamwork, and customer satisfaction. Support employee development through training, mentorship, and performance management. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, Business, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 5 years of logistics, warehouse, distribution, or supply chain experience within a manufacturing environment. Prior experience managing and developing teams. Strong understanding of transportation, warehousing, inventory control, and freight coordination. Working knowledge of international shipping requirements and trade compliance principles. Experience working with ERP or MRP systems; ERP experience is required. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments. Preferred Qualifications Experience in a regulated or highly technical manufacturing environment. Familiarity with reverse logistics, product returns, repair logistics, or service operations. Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies. Experience supporting global shipping and distribution activities. Additional Information Full-time, onsite position. Stable work history strongly preferred.
