Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Parts Manager to lead our parts department with enthusiasm and expertise. In this vital role, you will oversee the procurement, inventory control, and distribution of automotive parts and accessories, ensuring seamless operations that support our service and repair teams. Your leadership will drive efficiency, optimize supply chain processes, and foster strong relationships with suppliers and customers alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of automotive parts management, contributing to the overall success of our dealership or service center. Responsibilities Manage the daily operations of the parts department, including inventory management, order processing, and shipping & receiving activities. Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely sourcing of OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts and accessories while maintaining optimal inventory levels. Maintain strong supplier relationships through negotiation, performance evaluation, and continuous improvement initiatives. Utilize ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems and order management software to track inventory, process purchase orders, and manage pricing strategies effectively. Oversee warehouse management tasks such as stock organization, forklift operation, and equipment repair coordination to ensure safety and efficiency. Collaborate with automotive service teams to forecast demand planning needs based on upcoming repairs and seasonal trends. Ensure compliance with safety standards related to warehouse experience, HVAC systems, and equipment repair protocols. Monitor inventory control metrics using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools to optimize stock levels and reduce excess or obsolete parts. Provide excellent customer service by assisting technicians and external clients with sourcing hard-to-find parts or resolving supply issues promptly. Skills Extensive knowledge of supply chain management principles within an automotive or manufacturing environment. Proven experience in supplier management, negotiation, and procurement processes. Strong mechanical knowledge related to automotive diagnostics, auto body repair, HVAC systems, and equipment repair. Proficiency with ERP systems such as AS400 or similar order management platforms; familiarity with CMMS is a plus. Skilled in inventory management techniques including demand planning, inventory control, pricing strategies, and sourcing methods. Ability to operate forklifts safely; warehouse experience is essential for effective stock handling. Excellent data entry skills combined with attention to detail for accurate recordkeeping in shipping & receiving logs. Exceptional customer service skills to support dealership or automotive service needs efficiently. Familiarity with logistics concepts like shipping & receiving procedures, sourcing strategies, and procurement management practices. Strong negotiation skills coupled with a solid understanding of OEM parts specifications and automotive repair standards. Pay:
$84,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
