Job Description

Job Summary Myrtle Beach Chrysler Jeep is looking for an experienced Parts Manager to join our team. The ideal Parts Manager candidate will play a crucial role in directing daily operations, maintaining inventory control, and ensuring exceptional customer service in a retail environment. This position requires strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and a passion for the automotive service industry. Pay for this position will rely heavily on experience.
Duties Financial Management:
Manage the financial performance of the parts department
Team Leadership:
Supervise and train parts counter associates. Assist with managing daily operations within the parts department. Conduct meetings with parts personnel to coordinate day-to-day activities. Collaborate with team members to support various dealership functions, including automotive service operations Communicate effectively with employees to understand their needs and provide appropriate solutions
Inventory Managment:
Maintain accurate inventory records, pull and fill orders from stock, and coordinate emergency orders for out-of-stock parts. Oversee the coordination of orders for shipment, delivery, or pick-up, and ensure timely follow-up on back-ordered parts and maintain reasonable Special Order parts levels
Marketing:
Market products and services to enhance customer engagement and drive sales
Operational Efficiency :
Maintain the cleanliness of counter areas, follow safety procedures, and participate in tracking lost sales to optimize department performance. Utilize retail math to analyze sales data and assist in inventory management. Maintain accurate records of inventory levels and assist in restocking as necessary
Phone Skills:
Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries and scheduling appointments Keep it
Clean:
Organize and maintain the dealership's workspace to ensure a clean and efficient environment Address customer service issues Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees
Experience Skills:
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Experience:
Stellantis/FCA or General Motors Parts Management Experience running a successful
Parts Department DMS Experience:
Reynolds and Reynolds ERA Ignite Annual Inventory:
Familiarity with
Annual Parts Inventory Analysis HazMat:
Surface Transportation of Automotive Hazardous Material Training/Certification or willingness and ability to obtain
Show Up:
The position requires regular and predictable attendance
Tech-Savvy:
Basic computer skills and a quick ability to adapt to new systems. Intermediate knowledge of Office related software or Google Drive applications
Physical Capability:
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed
Problem-Solver :
You know how to tackle challenges and keep things running smoothly in a busy environment
Organized & Detail-Oriented:
You maintain accurate records, manage inventory, and coordinate orders with precision
Team Leader :
You're experienced in supervising, training, and motivating a team to succeed
Strong Communicator:
Whether with customers, team members, or vendors, you keep everyone informed and on track
Administrative Duties :
Process returns, issue credits for returned parts, maintain repair orders and invoices, and manage special-order parts records A valid driver's license Join our team and contribute to delivering outstanding customer experiences while building on the opportunity for departmental and financial growth in this position as we have just built a brand new facility. Pay:
$80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
