This role is responsible for overall terminal performance, including financial results, safety and compliance, service execution, and team leadership. The ideal candidate brings experience in operations management, employee leadership, and driving business results in a structured environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct terminal operations, including cost control, service performance, and overall results Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends and implement improvements Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements Maintain accountability for service levels and customer commitments Oversee fleet utilization and address performance gaps Develop and implement transportation strategies aligned with profitability and service objectives Manage customer relationships and ensure consistent service execution Lead hiring, training, and performance management of terminal staff and drivers in accordance with company policiesQualifications:
Demonstrated leadership experience with employee performance management and accountability Strong customer service focus with the ability to manage service expectations Clear and effective communication skills Experience with transportation management systems, dispatch operations, and hours-of-service regulations Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel Results-driven with the ability to operate within established business processes Comfortable in a leadership role with direct operational responsibility Able to support a schedule aligned with operational requirementsRequirements:
Associate or bachelor's degree preferred (experience may be considered in lieu of degree) Minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics or operations management About Us Penn Tank Lines is a privately held transportation company with over 50 years of experience moving fuel and bulk products safely and efficiently.
