Summary:
Responsible for supervising Supply Chain personnel on a daily basis and assisting the Operations Manager with day to day departmental tasks. Consistently anticipates the needs of the customer by demonstrating initiative, flexibility, appropriate risk taking, and sound judgment. Supervises all receiving and distribution of inventory and non-inventory supplies and replenishment of inventory supplies. Maintains data entry for daily inventory activities. Maintains listing of material stored in warehouse. Implements improvements which enhance customer satisfaction. Provides education for all new nursing staff. Provides "front line" inventory locations support. Continually identifies backordered product and provides substitution. Meets monthly with nursing leadership and staff to identify opportunities for improvement. Serves on Value Analysis Teams as directed. Evaluates and recommends response to opportunities. Actively takes responsibility to help contain costs and improve efficiency by pointing out areas of waste and suggesting viable cost-cutting alternatives. Exhibits dependability by working as scheduled and as requested in order to meet the patient and/or customer needs. Ensures 24 hour turnaround for replenishing supplies is maintained. Monitors process for improvement to the delivery systems. Ensures all patient charge items have required information. Ensures all special order supplies are delivered timely and accurately. Provides information to hospital Directors and Administration regarding availability of excess material. Promotes and maintains positive relationships with internal and external customers. Ensures proper safety regulations are followed.
Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Three to five years experience in Supply Chain. Must possess computer and accounting knowledge. Experience with retail and distribution techniques. Prior experience in inventory control. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
