Job Description

Position Overview The Supply Chain Planning Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing demand, supply, and inventory planning activities across the organization. This role partners closely with operations, procurement, product management, and commercial teams to ensure alignment between customer demand, production capacity, and supplier capabilities. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical and leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and hands-on experience managing complex supply chains in a fast-paced manufacturing or aftermarket environment. Key ResponsibilitiesDemand Planning Partner with sales, operations, and planning leadership to develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts Analyze forecast accuracy and variances, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions Ensure planning processes remain flexible to support service level and customer satisfaction goals Supply Planning Develop and maintain rolling 12-month supply plans aligned with production capacity and supplier capabilities Manage relationships with internal and external suppliers to ensure consistent material flow Maintain material, supplier, and production master data within ERP systems to support effective MRP execution Coordinate planning activities to ensure timely purchase order execution while balancing inventory targets Monitor supplier performance metrics, including past-due deliveries and fill rates Lead supplier constraint discussions and escalate risks proactively Support new product introductions by ensuring material availability aligned with launch timelines Evaluate freight and transportation options to balance cost, service, and delivery requirements Collaborate with logistics partners to maintain reliable delivery schedules Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities related to supply planning Inventory Management Establish and maintain inventory strategies using segmentation methods such as ABC/XYZ analysis Ensure safety stock levels support demand variability and service objectives Identify excess and obsolete inventory risks and partner cross-functionally on mitigation plans Performance & Team Leadership Track, analyze, and improve key supply chain KPIs aligned with business targets Prepare and present performance reports to leadership with actionable insights Promote standardized planning practices and continuous improvement across the team Set clear expectations, coach team members, and hold accountability for results Balance autonomy and guidance based on individual capabilities and development needs Qualifications & Experience Education Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred Experience 5+ years of experience in demand and supply planning within a manufacturing or aftermarket environment Experience supporting
S&OP / IBP
processes Exposure to global supply chain operations is a strong plus Certifications (Preferred)
APICS / CPIM / CSCP
Lean or Six Sigma credentials Technical Skills ERP system experience (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) Strong understanding of MRP processes and planning modules Advanced Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, data analysis) Experience with reporting or query tools (e.g., SQL, AS400) is a plus Competencies & Behavioral Attributes Strong knowledge of supply chain planning, inventory management, and S&OP principles Results-driven leader who leads by example and influences across teams Strategic thinker with a continuous improvement mindset Comfortable making decisions, negotiating priorities, and managing ambiguity Highly organized with the ability to prioritize in a dynamic environment Detail-oriented with a strong focus on data accuracy Adaptable and responsive to change BR5
