This role ensures accurate, timely, and efficient delivery of finished goods while maintaining safety, quality, and productivity standards. The Shipping Manager will lead and develop a team, coordinate with production and sales, and ensure customer expectations are consistently met. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily shipping operations including order fulfillment, staging, loading, and dispatch. Ensure all shipments are accurate and meet delivery schedules. Coordinate with production to align shipping priorities with manufacturing output. Supervise, train, and develop shipping team members. Coordinate outbound shipments with carriers and internal teams. Maintain accurate shipping records and documentation. Enforce safety policies and ensure compliance with OSHA and DOT regulations. Analyze shipping metrics and implement continuous improvements. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred. 3-5+ years of shipping/logistics experience in manufacturing. 2+ years of supervisory experience. Strong knowledge of shipping processes and logistics. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Strong communication and leadership skills. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment. Work Environment Fast-paced manufacturing setting. May require flexible hours including weekends. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) On-time delivery rate Shipping accuracy Shipping cost per unit (total shipping expenses divided by total units shipped; used to monitor cost efficiency and identify savings opportunities) Damage/return rate Labor productivity Safety incident rate
