Job Description:
Reports To VP, Operations Transformation, Crewing & Supply Chain Role Dimensions The Director, Global Supply Chain leads the end to end procurement function. Accountable for setting the strategic direction of procurement and aligning it with company operational, financial, and sustainability goals. Ensures procurement operates as a value?generating, insight?driven, and reliable partner to the business, with clear KPIs for cost, risk, quality, and service. Personal Criteria (Qualification and Attributes)
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field
  • Formal training/certification in procurement fundamentals, sourcing, negotiation, or category management (e.g., CIPS, ISM, APICS) strongly preferred
Preferred:
Master's degree (MBA or relevant discipline)
  • 10-15+ years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain, or strategic sourcing within a multi?site, complex organization. Ideally in maritime/offshore or energy sector.
  • Demonstrated success leading procurement functions and/or major procurement transformation initiatives
  • Very high proficiency in: Strategic Thought Leadership; People Management; Financial Acumen; Stakeholder Engagement; Procurement Acumen & Technology Key Accountabilities
  • Establish a cohesive, global procurement vision that supports safe, reliable operations while controlling cost, reducing risk, and simplifying buying
  • Build a modern procurement capability-category management, enablement, data transparency, policy governance, and performance management
  • Position procurement as a strategic business partner; work directly with C?level, regional leaders, and technical stakeholders to influence enterprise decisions
  • Collaborate with Finance to align budgets, savings targets, and investment decisions with financial discipline and measurable outcomes
  • Manage procurement budgets; drive cost?saving initiatives and continuous improvement across categories and regions
  • Ensure adherence to compliance, internal controls, and risk management across the end?to?end procurement lifecycle
  • Lead digital transformation in procurement-ERP integration, e?procurement, automation, and AI?driven analytics-to improve speed, transparency, and decision quality
  • Strengthen supplier management: capability assessment, relationship development, and performance improvement against service, quality, and ESG expectations
  • Elevate stakeholder engagement and change leadership to embed standard processes, policy adoption, and data?driven decision?making
  • Develop and coach a high?
