Job Description

Warehouse and Logistics Manager
OVERVIEW
We are seeking a results-driven Warehouse and Logistics Manager to lead outbound logistics, warehousing, and distribution operations within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role has full ownership of finished goods movement, from warehouse through customer delivery, and is critical to ensuring service levels, cost control, and operational efficiency.

This position is ideal for a logistics leader with experience in manufacturing, furniture, or heavy goods environments who can balance strategic planning with hands-on operational execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESLead and manage all outbound logistics operations, including warehousing, shipping, and deliveryEnsure on-time, accurate dispatch of finished goods to customersNegotiate and manage relationships with freight carriers, transportation providers, and 3PL partnersMonitor shipping schedules, track deliveries, and resolve transportation issues or delaysOversee warehouse operations including storage, picking, packing, and dispatchMaintain accurate inventory levels and implement cycle counting processesOptimize warehouse layout, freight routing, and delivery strategies to reduce cost and improve efficiencyLead, develop, and manage logistics and warehouse teamsEnforce safety standards, compliance requirements, and company policiesPrepare KPI reports, cost analyses, and performance dashboardsDrive continuous improvement initiatives across logistics, transportation, and warehousing
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field5 or more years of experience in logistics or supply chain management within a manufacturing environmentProven experience overseeing warehousing, transportation, and inventory operationsStrong working knowledge of ERP, WMS, TMS, or logistics management systemsExperience managing freight contracts, carriers, and third-party logistics providersStrong leadership, communication, and negotiation skillsData-driven and comfortable managing KPIs and operational metrics
PREFERRED
EXPERIENCEFurniture, wood products, or heavy goods manufacturingManaging large-scale distribution or multi-site logistics operationsLean, process improvement, or cost-reduction initiativesProfessional certifications such as APICS CSCP, CILT, or similar
