Will manage and coordinate the production scheduling by interfacing with Corporate Planning and Plant Operational Managers and will ensure the adequate and efficient supply of manufacturing materials and the scheduling of outbound shipments to distribution centers or other locations as required.
Specific duties include:
Oversee inventory levels of all materials, commodities, and services following established inventory management and material planning policies and procedures to optimize delivery and maintain healthy inventory levels based on warehouse capabilities. Coordinate and communicate plant production and shipping schedules with Corporate Planning and Manufacturing teams. Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders including Warehouse and Planning Manager, Plant Manager, Production Managers, Quality/Regulatory Affairs, Warehouse Supervisor, and Production Supervisors. Plan and execute achievable inventory and planning strategies supporting long-term supply chain initiatives. Develop and oversee training for processes and procedures related to inventory and material control. Serve as key point of contact for ComplianceWire (SOP Training). Investigate and address process deviations and nonconformance issues, escalating to management when necessary. Identify and develop training programs to improve operational efficiencies and ensure compliance with company, federal, state, and local regulations. Conduct facility, process, and warehouse management system audits/inspections and recommend corrective actions. Design and implement communication strategies to improve employee awareness of warehouse management and inventory control systems. Compile, analyze, and interpret statistical data, generating reports as required. Maintain administrative control of records related to inventory control and warehouse management technologies. Monitor materials and products to ensure adequate inventory to meet production schedules. Establish and maintain inventory control procedures ensuring compliance with SOX and cGMP. Support SAP transactions related to raw materials to ensure accurate financial reporting. Manage daily and yearly cycle counting activities and report accuracy levels. Ensure monthly physical inventories are completed and communicated to cost accounting. Act as Plant SOX Co-coordinator, serving as liaison between plant and corporate headquarters. Requirements Position requires a Bachelor's degree (or an equivalent foreign degree) in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a closely related field and 5 years of experience as a Buyer or Inventory Control Specialist in the medical device sector. Must also have 3 years of experience, which can have been gained concurrently with the primary experience requirement above, working with the following: Production planning, material requirement planning (MRP), and inventory optimization; Vendor management using performance metrics and supplier scorecards; Working with SAP, including specifically MM and PP modules, and Excel-based reporting tools; and cGMP, SOX
