Job Description

What to Expect As Senior Materials Manager, you will be playing a critical role in construction of novel battery chemical plant(s) near Corpus Christi, TX. You will lead the development and optimization of a robust materials management program. You will build and lead a high-performing team, establish streamlined workflows and drive continuous improvements to minimize waste, reduce costs, and support project timelines. What You'll Do Program development: curate and implement a comprehensive materials management program and manage iterations and improvements with cross functional teams Recruit, hire, and build a materials management team, including roles such as coordinators, inspectors, and logistics specialist. Foster a collaborative environment and lead by example to ensure team alignment with organizational goals Workflow establishment and Optimization Performance monitoring and improvements: Identify and track key metrics (inventory accuracy, turnaround times, cost savings) and refine workflows based on data analysis. Proactively address edge cases like supply chain disruptions and building contingency plan Compliance and Safety. Ensure all processes adhere to industry regulations, safety standards and environmental guidelines. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate materials management to broader operations and cost systems What You'll Bring Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or equivalent experience 10+ years of relevant industry experience (heavy industrial, oil & gas, complex chemical plants, refineries) Previous experience on $250M+ projects Managing 5+ senior-level direct reports Ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with extremely tight timelines and aggressive goals.
