Job Description
About the Role We are seeking a Supply Chain Manager to own end‑to‑end supply chain performance in a manufacturing environment. This role leads the SIOP process and ensures strong alignment between demand, supply, and production execution. Success in this role is measured by on‑time delivery (OTD), inventory turns, and the consistent availability of materials to support manufacturing operations. This position is ideal for a high‑horsepower individual contributor who also leads—someone who drives outcomes directly while aligning teams to bring clarity, discipline, and execution to a dynamic production environment. What You'll Do Supply Chain Leadership & Strategy Own and continuously improve the SIOP process to align demand, supply, and production capacity Drive OTD and inventory performance through tight integration with manufacturing operations Identify and mitigate risks related to material supply, capacity constraints, and demand variability Lead continuous improvement initiatives across planning and execution processes Represent Supply Chain in new product introductions (NPI) to ensure production readiness Production Planning & Inventory Management Lead demand and supply planning with a strong focus on manufacturing execution Translate demand signals into actionable production and material plans Ensure material availability using MRP/ERP systems Optimize inventory levels (raw, WIP, finished goods) to balance service levels and working capital Maintain accurate planning parameters including lead times, lot sizes, and safety stock Materials & Supplier Management Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure quality, delivery, and responsiveness Lead sourcing and negotiation efforts to drive cost improvements and supply continuity Monitor and improve supplier performance across delivery, quality, and lead time adherence Proactively address supply disruptions and implement mitigation plans Logistics & Operational Execution Partner with suppliers and logistics providers to meet production and customer delivery requirements Drive improvements in lead times, freight cost, and overall supply chain responsiveness Team Leadership & Cross‑Functional Alignment Lead and develop team members across planning, procurement, and logistics Partner closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, and Finance Establish clear accountability and performance expectations tied to operational KPIs Foster a culture of ownership, responsiveness, and continuous improvement Data, Systems & Planning Discipline Leverage ERP, MRP, and demand planning systems to drive accuracy and execution Ensure integrity of key system data including BOMs, routings, lead times, and inventory records Analyze KPIs and operational data to identify trends and improvement opportunities Drive data‑based decision‑making across the organization Compliance & Operational Discipline Ensure supply chain processes comply with regulatory and quality standards (medical device environment) Maintain disciplined execution across planning, procurement, and production support Support initiatives that improve efficiency, reduce waste, and strengthen operational performance What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or a related field 7+ years of supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment 3+ years of leadership experience Proven success in production planning, inventory management, and supplier management Strong ERP/MRP expertise (PLEX preferred) Deep understanding of manufacturing supply chains and material flow Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills Excellent communication skills with strong cross‑functional leadership capability
