Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Dealership Parts Manager to lead our parts department with energy and precision. In this vital role, you will oversee the procurement, inventory management, and distribution of automotive parts to ensure seamless operations and exceptional customer service. Your expertise in supply chain management, supplier relations, and automotive diagnostics will drive efficiency and profitability. Duties Manage the entire parts inventory, including ordering, receiving, storage, and distribution, utilizing advanced order management systems and ERP platforms. Develop and implement demand planning strategies to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing excess inventory. Cultivate strong relationships with OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) suppliers and negotiate pricing, terms, and procurement agreements to maximize value. Oversee warehouse operations including shipping & receiving, forklift operation, equipment repair, and warehouse safety protocols. Coordinate logistics for parts shipping and delivery, ensuring timely fulfillment for automotive service and repair departments. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools for equipment maintenance scheduling and inventory control. Lead procurement management initiatives by sourcing quality parts at competitive prices while maintaining compliance with industry standards such as AS400 systems. Supervise customer service interactions related to parts sales, ensuring a positive experience for internal departments and external clients. Monitor supply chain performance metrics; analyze data entry accuracy, inventory control procedures, and sourcing strategies to improve overall efficiency. Qualifications Proven experience in dealership or automotive parts management with a strong understanding of auto body repair, automotive diagnostics, and OEM parts sourcing. Extensive knowledge of supply chain management, procurement processes, inventory management systems, and logistics operations. Familiarity with ERP systems such as AS400 or similar order management platforms; experience with CMMS is a plus. Mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair equipment, HVAC systems, and auto body repairs is highly desirable. Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification preferred. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to manage supplier relationships effectively. Excellent data entry skills combined with attention to detail in inventory control and demand planning. Exceptional customer service skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving in fast-paced environments.
