Summary:
You are the person who makes our physical product a reality. Your mission is to build and manage the operational backbone that takes our innovative hardware from a bill of materials to a finished product in a customer's hands. You will be the primary link between our internal teams and our external manufacturing partners, owning the processes and systems that ensure our product is built to the highest quality, on time, and on budget. If you are a meticulously organized, process-driven operator who loves the challenge of building something new, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract Manufacturer (CM)
Management:
Manage the relationship with our CM partner and serve as the main day-to-day point of contact, managing production schedules, quality control, and issue resolution.
Logistics & Fulfillment:
Manage all outbound shipping and inbound receipt of goods, ensuring efficient and accurate movement of materials and finished products.
Procurement & Purchasing:
Handle purchasing for components and materials as needed to support the hardware and scentware teams, managing vendor relationships and ensuring timely delivery.
Systems Implementation:
Oversee the setup and management of our core operations systems (e.g., ERP, MRP, WMS) to ensure accurate inventory and production tracking.
Compliance:
Support the team on import/export protocols and ensure our supply chain adheres to all necessary customs and regulatory requirements.
Who You Are:
An Experienced Operator:
You have 3-5+ years of experience in an operations or supply chain role, preferably with a company that produces consumer electronics, fragrance products, or other complex physical products.
A CM Expert:
You have direct, hands-on experience working with and managing contract manufacturers, both domestically and internationally.
A Systems Thinker:
You are comfortable with the "alphabet soup" of operations (ERP, MRP, BOM, COGS) and have experience implementing or managing these systems.
Meticulously Organized:
You are exceptionally detail-oriented and have a talent for creating and maintaining clear, efficient processes.
A Proactive Problem-Solver:
You are adept at anticipating potential roadblocks in a supply chain and working collaboratively to find solutions.
Bonus Points:
You have experience taking a brand new hardware product from prototype to mass production. You have specific experience with international shipping and customs compliance. 15-
Month Strategic Objectives & KPIs:
On-Boarding of Contract Manufacturer(s) to build first units Setup of Systems to have serial traceability of products Supply Chain scaled to produce 5,000+ units in year one
Compensation:
$70,000 - $85,000/year
Work Environment:
Onsite in private office at Hula Co-Working space Extended periods of sitting at a desk and computer Travel is required, apx. 10%-15% (some international)
