DESCRIPTION
Amazon is seeking an industry proven and detail oriented Supply Chain Manager to support supply chain innovation and optimization of automation technologies across our Last Mile delivery operation. Successful candidates are natural self-starters who have prior experience in the integrated automation project life cycle, contract manufacturing, change management, and system supplier and/or technology sourcing. The Senior Supply Chain Manager must be agile with the ability to quickly adapt strategies, plans and solutions in response to dynamic business requirements. They also must be comfortable interfacing and driving various functional teams and individuals at all levels of the organization. This role is crucial in optimizing our processes, ensuring efficient and timely delivery of packages to our customers while maintaining strong supplier relationships and driving continuous improvement in our automation initiatives. Key job responsibilities Managing overall supplier relationships including supplier performance, capability, capacity planning, contracting, risk mitigation, cost and quality improvements. Collaborating with technical operations, engineering, and program teams on new product introduction programs to define standard and custom product requirements ensuring sourcing strategies meet the technical capabilities, cost, and business objectives. Drive suppliers' continuous improvement and value engineering in support of program's performance metrics: quality, delivery, capacity, cost and safety. Monitor suppliers' supply chain, manufacturing, human capital with respect to overall program objectives. Development and execution of global commodity strategies that align business requirements with supplier capabilities. Develop alternate sourcing strategies to optimize costs and ensure continuity of supply.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of program, project or product management, or leading product implementation experience 5+ years of high volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environments experience 5+ years of data analysis using tools such as Excel, Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, or equivalent experience Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field Experience with Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma methodologies
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field Experience creating an innovative global supply strategy for the organization resulting in a tangible benefit to the business Experience in negotiations with global suppliers with a proven track record in cost reduction Experience in procurement practices working with engineering, supply chain and Tier 1 OEM partners Experience practicing best-in-class procurement processes (category management, benchmarking, should-cost models, RFX, reverse auction, contracting, or equivalent) Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
