Role:
We are seeking a hands-on Supply Chain Supervisor to lead purchasing, inventory, receiving, and warehouse operations for a growing custom manufacturing company. This role is critical to maintaining a lean, just-in-time supply chain that supports production with only a few days of inventory on hand. You'll supervise a small team, manage supplier relationships, forecast material needs, and work closely with production, project management, and design teams to keep projects moving on schedule. As the company continues to grow, you'll also help develop and organize an expanding warehouse operations, including the potential for a second facility dedicated to raw materials and finished goods storage. Key Responsibilities:
Manage purchasing, inventory, and receiving operations. Forecast material requirements and maintain inventory levels. Coordinate with suppliers on pricing, lead times, and delivery performance. Conduct cycle counts and ensure inventory accuracy. Resolve shipping, receiving, and supply chain issues proactively. Coordinate freight, deliveries, and outbound shipments. Lead, train, and support purchasing and receiving staff. Drive continuous improvement through Lean and just-in-time principles. Qualifications:
5+ years of supply chain, purchasing, inventory, or warehouse leadership experience (7+ preferred). Experience in Lean manufacturing or just-in-time operations. Strong inventory management and supplier relationship skills. Experience with ERP/MRP and inventory management systems. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities. On-site availability in Ferndale, WA. Preferred Experience:
Cabinetry, millwork, woodworking, furniture, or building products manufacturing. Familiarity with sheet goods, hardware, and finishing materials. Generally 7:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., with occasional overlap into warehouse swing-shift operations. Benefits:
