This person will be the focal point with all key/critical Suppliers and serve as the champion of materials (e.g. they will plan, buy, audit, count, expedite, source approve, delegate, etc.) as necessary to ensure business objectives are met. This leader will be highly systematic, proactive and when required extremely responsive in the management of materials and Supply Chain and communicate with all departments to maximize throughout and Customer Satisfaction for PAT. Responsible for supply planning, managing purchase orders, and associated activity. Coordinates with Engineering and other personnel to maintain routings, BOM's and Master Material Data. Leads personnel in USM activities to proactively obtain sufficient PATO feedstock cores and salvaged sub-components. Duties
SUPPLY PLANNING ROLE
- Partnering with key stakeholders including Sales/Customer Service, Production/Shop leadership, materials, to develop and execute date driven schedules for TAT excellence and 100% on-time delivery. Liaison with all parties to ensure commitment to promised dates. Overcome supply chain obstacles and bottlenecks. Secure multiple sources for critical supplies. Collaborate with Sales and Engineering to develop and update a clear 12 month forecast and translate that back to the key/critical Suppliers to optimize the plan for availability, business growth and cost. As applicable, Communicating & Monitoring Customer specific instructions and allocations of supplies (e.g. CFM parts, Boeing or PATO Windows designated to distinct work orders, etc.) to ensure efficiency and accuracy. Accountable for the impact and on-going improvement of USM (Used Serviceable Materials) and PATO feedstock core programs.PURCHASING ROLE
- Develop and maintain procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards. Collaborate with Production managers and Purchasing staff to ensure forecasting, ordering and stocking sustains inventory at levels to optimize customer satisfaction and meet inventory optimization targets Lead and mentor purchasing staff to foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence. Place purchase orders in the ERP system and correct Purchase Price Variances (PPV) for Accts Payable when necessary. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including logistics, finance, and product development, to coordinate procurement activities. Coordinate with functional experts to resolve problems impacting internal customers. Develop and implement purchasing strategies to optimize cost savings and improve supply chain efficiency. Source and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best terms and pricing for goods and services. Evaluate supplier performance and establish strong supplier relationships (at all levels of their organization) to ensure reliability and quality of supply. Travel frequently to suppliers to inform and optimize their performance; understand and resolve their constraints for mutual benefit. Manage supplier relationships to ensure excellence and accountability. Analyze purchasing data and generate reports to support decision-making and strategic planning. Drive short- and long-term delivery strategy and execution at assigned suppliers Drive delivery health measured by high on-time delivery, low span & low delinquency across all assigned suppliers and part numbers Identify capacity or other risks with suppliers / materials which could impact our execution. Identify and resolve supply risks via collaboration with suppliers, quality, engineering, and others. Swiftly escalate issues and potential issues Build leadership and technical skills, working on challenging, real-world problems and solve for what the industry and our business need. This position requires stamina and grit; effective time management skills are very important. Skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Develop technical insights into the product, customer value, and margin drivers to make well balanced data driven decisions for the business. Drive continued process efficiencies and tooling improvements. Must have an eye for detail and possess excellent communications, analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Recruit and train new staff. Provide daily, weekly, or monthly reports(s) as required. Assist customer service with exchange options, if required. Act as a backup Warranty handling and RMA handling. Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS
Requires a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of work experience in a manufacturing or MRO industrial services environment ERP knowledge and experience. Solid understanding of processes and GAAP accounting practices. Prior experience in Planning, Production, Purchasing and/or Customer Service Prior management of direct staff Proficient in Microsoft Office, data entry software, preferably use of ERP software such as Pentagon. Must understand, speak, read, and write English (FAA Requirement) Pre-employment drug screening required.Job Type:
