Job Description

Join a growing global seafood company with a 30-year reputation for excellence in international trade. We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys solving complex transportation and supply chain challenges. This is an opportunity to take ownership of worldwide logistics operations, lead a small team, negotiate directly with transportation providers, and play a key role in delivering products to customers around the globe. What You'll Do Manage the movement of international shipments worldwide, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. Coordinate vessel bookings, trucking, cold storage, and warehouse loading schedules to meet export deadlines. Prepare and oversee export documentation with accuracy and attention to detail. Work directly with government agencies including USDC and CBP to obtain health certificates and ensure regulatory compliance. Arrange international transportation through steamship lines, freight forwarders, trucking companies, and logistics partners. Request and review bills of lading and other shipping documents. Communicate shipment status and logistics information with customers, suppliers, and internal teams worldwide. Review and approve transportation and vendor invoices. Negotiate freight rates and service agreements to maximize efficiency and control costs. Lead, mentor, and support a small logistics team. Collaborate with sales, management, and operations teams to provide supply chain recommendations and solutions. Deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining strong relationships with logistics partners and customers. What We're Looking For Experience in international logistics, transportation, freight forwarding, import/export operations, or supply chain management. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Experience negotiating rates and working with carriers, steamship lines, trucking companies, or freight forwarders. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Leadership experience or the desire to grow into a leadership role. Proficiency with shipping documentation and international trade requirements is preferred. Seafood, food export, or cold-chain logistics experience is a plus.
