This position is an integral part of our daily marine service operations. You will balance office-based procurement using Lightspeed software with hands-on inventory management, retail client sales, and local vendor runs.
Key Duties Systems & Data:
Daily data entry for inventory, sales, and part tracking using Lightspeed software.
Procurement:
Order parts from multiple vendors and manage authorized dealer accounts.
Manufacturer Sales:
Coordinate retail sales of proprietary manufactured yacht parts to outside customers.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with marine technicians and the Service Writer to identify, source, and deliver required project parts.
Vendor Runs:
Drive a company vehicle to local vendors to pick up urgent parts as needed.
Shipping & Receiving:
Manage the entire incoming and outgoing shipment pipeline via UPS and FedEx.
Inventory Control:
Organize, track, and maintain optimal physical stock levels.
Technical Research:
Conduct research to accurately identify specialized marine components.
Requirements Software:
Previous experience using Lightspeed software is preferred.
Driving:
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required for parts runs.
Environment:
Comfortability working around docks and water. Experience with boats is preferred.
Soft Skills:
Self-sufficient, quick on your feet, and highly motivated.
Organization:
Strong research, problem-solving, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
Communication:
High-level written, verbal, phone, and interpersonal skills.
