$70,000 - $80,000 per year Job Details - We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Parts Manager to join our dynamic teamat our trucking and transportation company. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is passionate about the automotive industry and has a keen eye for detail. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our parts department, ensuring smooth running and maximum efficiency. This is a full-time, permanent position with competitive salary and benefits.
Responsibilities:
As an Assistant Parts Manager, you will be expected to: 1. Assist the Parts Manager in overseeing the operations and personnel of the parts department. 2. Maintain an accurate and effective parts inventory system, ensuring that the dealership is always stocked with the necessary parts. 3. Work closely with the service department to ensure that all parts requests are met in a timely and efficient manner. 4. Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive sales growth in the parts department. 5. Provide exceptional customer service, handling customer inquiries and complaints professionally and effectively. 6. Train and mentor parts department staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. 7. Monitor and analyze parts department performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes. 8. Maintain a thorough knowledge of all products and services offered by the dealership. 9. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, as well as all relevant safety regulations.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should have: 1. A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in sales, preferably within the automotive industry. 2. Proven experience in a parts manager or assistant parts manager role. 3. Strong knowledge of automotive parts and systems. 4. Exceptional sales and customer service skills. 5. Excellent leadership and team management abilities. 6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 7. The ability to multitask and manage time effectively. 8. Proficiency in inventory management software. 9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 10. A high school diploma or equivalent.
