We are looking for a motivated and experienced Assistant Auto Parts Manager to help lead daily department operations while supporting inventory management, team development, and customer satisfaction. In this role, you will work closely with the Auto Parts Manager to oversee inventory, assist customers and technicians, support department staff, and ensure the department operates efficiently and profitably. - Assist in overseeing daily Auto Parts Department operations, including inventory control, stocking, ordering, and distribution.
- Support and supervise parts staff while helping maintain a productive and positive work environment.
- Assist retail, wholesale, service, and collision center customers with parts requests in a professional and timely manner.
- Monitor inventory levels and help maintain accurate stock to support operational needs.
- Assist with vendor relationships, special orders, returns, and warranty parts processing.
- Help ensure accurate billing, invoicing, inventory reconciliation, and departmental organization.
- Support the Parts Manager in achieving department sales, gross profit, and operational goals.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe parts storage and warehouse areas.
- Stay current on manufacturer updates, pricing changes, and product knowledge through ongoing training. Requirements of an Assistant Auto parts Manager
- Previous automotive dealership parts experience required.
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automotive parts operations, inventory processes, and dealership systems.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
