About Us:

We run a large-scale logistics operation partnering with FedEx Ground, operating a fleet of over 40 trucks across a high-mileage Contractual Service Area (CSA) split between a main terminal and a dedicated northern relay station. Due to recent company expansion, we have structured our management team into a highly collaborative, multi-manager environment.

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced, high-integrity Operations Manager to step in as a FedEx-approved Business Contact (BC). In this role, you will join a unified, 3-manager powerhouse team stationed down at our main office. While your day-to-day focus will be on optimizing the heavy volume at the terminal hub, you will collaborate with the other two BCs to handle full territorial coverage. This shared-team structure ensures seamless cross-coverage—meaning if a call-in or emergency happens up at our northern 8-route relay hub, one of the three managers can easily rotate to handle field logistics or fill in, keeping the entire footprint entirely insulated.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborative Management Leadership:

Team up closely with our two existing terminal BCs to manage daily dispatch, live route tracking, and on-the-road problem solving across our entire 27-30 route CSA using GroundCloud.

Cross-Hub Coverage Support:

Participate in a shared rotational strategy with the other BCs to handle logistics firefighting, field emergencies, or driver call-ins at our northern relay hub when necessary.

Operational Dashboard Management:

Utilize FedEx systems including MGBA (Management Gained/Business Agility) and FRO (FedEx Route Optimization) to monitor service data, track package DNA, optimize routes, and maintain elite contract standards on the weekly FedEx scorecard.

Frontline Driver Leadership:

Provide daily, visible leadership to our combined 40+ driver roster. Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and mutual respect on the road.

Fleet Asset Management:

Work tightly with our existing fleet maintenance program. Identify mechanical issues early, log preventative maintenance needs, and coordinate with our priority mechanics to keep our 40+ vehicle fleet running efficiently.

Qualifications:

2+ years of leadership experience in route logistics, final-mile delivery, freight transportation, or military logistics. Must pass all FedEx Ground background checks, drug screenings, and formal Business Contact (BC) approval requirements.

Technical Familiarity:

Direct experience or strong familiarity with GroundCloud, FedEx MGBA, and FRO platforms is highly preferred. Strong leadership presence Deep familiarity with regional weather challenges and severe winter driving conditions. High-level problem-solving skills; you excel when a wrench gets thrown into the daily plan.

$65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
