Material & Equipment Manager We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Material & Equipment Manager to join our team. In this role, you will oversee material operations, equipment management, and fleet coordination to ensure seamless and efficient processes across the company. Material & Equipment Manager Logistics Operations:
Oversee supply chain logistics, ensuring timely procurement, distribution, and safekeeping of materials. Develop and maintain efficient kitting, receiving, and storage systems. Implement strategies to optimize warehouse layout and workflow. Negotiate with vendors and internal teams to manage inventory levels, supply chain performance, and pricing.Material Management:
Maintain accurate records of company assets, including tools, equipment, and materials. Track asset usage and lifecycle, coordinating repairs and replacements as needed. Ensure all assets are properly tagged, accounted for, and stored securely. Implement asset tracking systems to improve efficiency and minimize losses. Build and maintain project kits to support efficient project execution.Fleet Coordination:
Oversee a fleet of approximately 100 vehicles and equipment, ensuring proper maintenance, registration, and compliance with company standards. Coordinate vehicle inspections, repairs, and outfitting with necessary equipment. Maintain a fleet readiness plan, including spare vehicles and emergency response measures. Ensure lifts and various implements are properly maintained and ready for use at all times.Team Leadership:
Lead, manage, and hold accountable logistics and asset management staff, fostering a culture of efficiency and teamwork. Conduct regular check-ins with team members to ensure job satisfaction and gather feedback. Provide training and mentorship to leaders across departments to improve operations and safety awareness.Safety & Compliance:
Implement and maintain safety protocols across all logistics, assets, and fleet operations. Ensure all warehouse and fleet procedures meet regulatory standards (OSHA/DOT compliance). Develop risk management strategies to prevent asset losses and operational disruptions. Efficiently coordinate and deliver equipment and materials around Southeast Wisconsin.Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or equivalent required. 5+ years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, asset management, or related fields. 3+ years in a leadership role managing teams in logistics, warehouse, or fleet operations. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail. Valid driver's license and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Willingness to work in various environments, including outdoor conditions.Preferred:
Technical certifications in logistics, asset management, or fleet operations. Experience with inventory management systems, safety standards (OSHA/DOT), and vendor negotiations is highly valued.
