About The Role As the Operations Lead for Culture Cart, you are the on-the-ground commander for our commercial driving team. Blending personnel management with real-time logistics, you are responsible for shift execution, driver compliance, and ensuring our fleet meets operational demands. You will act as the crucial bridge between our drivers, the dispatch center, and our passenger hubs, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable transportation services.

$30-35 / hour negotiable based on experience
Responsibilities Shift Execution & Personnel Management:
Roster Management:
Execute driver scheduling, pre-shift check-ins, verifying that every driver is present, in uniform, and fit for duty before deployment. Count the bag / run square sales of every cart. Provide executive reports post events . Ensure timecards & tips are properly checked, correct and distributed.
Labor Compliance:
Strictly manage the clock to guarantee all team members are taking their mandated rest and meal breaks on time to ensure compliance and prevent fatigue. Work directly with Culture Cart's HR team and staffing agency to ensure we are compliant.
Shift Handovers:
Conduct smooth transitions between shifts, communicating pass-down logs, unresolved issues, and anticipated volume spikes to the incoming team.
Hub Operations & Field Logistics:
Deployment & Routing:
Direct shift leads & drivers to their assigned zones to balance fleet availability against passenger demand. You will manage coverage across our four primary operational centers: Wally Park hub, Hotel LAX hub, Metro K line hub, and Manchester Prairie mobility hub.
Traffic & Queue Management:
Monitor staging areas at each hub to prevent bottlenecking, minimize passenger wait times (dwell time), and ensure smooth ingress and egress of carts.
Dispatch Coordination & Exception Handling:
Central Communication:
Maintain constant, clear radio and digital communication with the Dispatch team to report exact driver locations, confirm assignments, and pivot operations based on real-time traffic or event conditions.
Incident Response:
Act as the first responder for field exceptions, including driver no-shows, passenger disputes, or route deviations, escalating to management only when necessary. Safety & Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs):
Safety Briefings:
Lead daily "toolbox talks" before shifts to review safety protocols, weather conditions, and specific event-day hazards.
Incident Reporting:
Properly document and report any safety infractions, minor collisions, or near-misses in accordance with Culture Cart's risk management protocols. Other duties as assigned Qualifications Previous experience in commercial transportation, fleet operations, logistics, or a comparable shift-leadership role. Strong understanding of field-level dispatching and queue management. Excellent conflict resolution skills and the ability to command a team calmly in a high-volume, fast-paced environment. Ability to stand, walk, and remain highly active in the field for the duration of the shift.
Requirements Valid Drivers License Pay:
$30.00 - $35.00 per hour
