Responsibilities:
Summary This position facilitates the transportation of program participants upon release from designated CDCR institution locations to locations as identified by the receiving STOP Placement Office and upon completion of STOP services to the participant's parole unit. It is also responsible for carrying out the directions and decisions of the Program Manager through the provision of direct operational oversight of transportation services for STOP Program Areas. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Coordinates and facilitates the transportation of Participants into and within Program Area. Communicates directly with Community Service Representatives to develop and implement effective transportation plans to ensure portal to portal transportation of Participants into Program Area. Establishes and maintains accurate tracking system of transportation including efficient, cost effective driver schedules, maximizing funding utilization and efficient transportation and ensuring participant retention. Works with Transportation Coordinators in other Program Areas to facilitate transportation by and between multiple Program Areas within the State of California, maximizing funding utilization and efficient transportation, and ensuring participant retention. Ensures that corrective action plans resulting from program audits are implemented and assesses the effectiveness of corrective actions taken in close collaboration with the Compliance Administrator and under the direction of the STOP Program Manager. Identifies and conducts any additional required and/or needed training sessions. Develops strategies with relevant stakeholders to best serve the target population. Provides trainings, as needs are determined, for STOP, In-custody and CBP staff thereby increasing the level of accountability and professionalism of all stakeholders. Assists Compliance Administrator in developing and maintaining quality control procedures to ensure high quality service. Assists in resolving programmatic and personnel problems. Assists other managers in monitoring the transportation processes. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Experience coordinating delivery of transportation services and planning transportation for multiple drivers. Experience with criminal justice population is preferred. One (1) year of documented verifiable supervisory or leadership experience. Possess a valid, active driver's license. Must understand the critical nature of portal-to-portal transportation in the retention process of participants. Extensive knowledge of the transitional process, both documentation and operational, between incustody and community-based modalities/programs. Must possess excellent knowledge of English and spelling. Must possess a level of maturity to deal with sensitive issues. Must know and comply with program documentation requirements, applicable ethical and professional standards of conduct. Excellent communication skills. Must possess excellent organizational and time management skills, as well as an ability to train subordinate office staff in use of same. Ability to read and interpret documents such as government regulations, legal documents, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to provide effective leadership of Drivers. Must possess the skills necessary to implement the transportation plan and consult as a member of a multi-disciplinary team. Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department. GEO Reentry Services LLC.
