  • We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Fleet Manager to join our Construction team.
This is a permanent position with a focus on managing our extensive fleet of heavy construction equipment. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in fleet management, with a minimum of 5 years' experience, particularly in the construction industry. This role requires a hands-on approach, strategic planning, and the ability to effectively manage and optimize fleet operations.
Responsibilities:
As a Fleet Manager, you will be responsible for: 1. Overseeing the operation, maintenance, and repair of our fleet of heavy construction equipment. 2. Implementing and managing preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime and longevity. 3. Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to fleet operations. 4. Developing and implementing strategies for fleet replacement and disposal. 5. Coordinating with project managers to ensure equipment availability and readiness for all construction projects. 6. Managing the selection, purchasing, and registration of new equipment. 7. Monitoring fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and overall fleet efficiency. 8. Identifying and implementing cost-saving initiatives related to fleet management. 9. Managing relationships with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless fleet operations. 10. Providing regular reports on fleet operations to senior management.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the role of Fleet Manager, applicants must have: 1. A minimum of 5 years' experience in fleet management, preferably within the construction industry. 2. Proven experience managing a large fleet of heavy construction equipment. 3. In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal fleet regulations. 4. Strong technical knowledge of heavy equipment operation, maintenance, and repair. 5. Exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. 6. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements. 7. Excellent communication and leadership skills. 8. Proficiency in fleet management software and related technology. 9. A degree in Business Management, Logistics, or a related field is preferred.
