With over 20 dealerships and car service locations stretching across Alberta, British Columbia, Washington, Montana, and California; the Cam Clark Auto Group is an industry leader in providing outstanding customer experience since 1987, while also striving to offer an amazing employee experience as well! In the position of Lease Retention/Fleet Manager, you will be responsible for the strategic planning, development, and execution of all Ford fleet and lease retention operations, with a strong emphasis on operational efficiency, cost optimization, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will work closely with the General Sales Manager and General Manager to drive performance and business growth.
Responsibilities Strategic Fleet and Lease Planning:
Develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive fleet and lease retention strategy aligned with dealership and Ford Motor Company objectives Forecast fleet and lease retention needs based on market trends, customer demand, and Ford manufacturer programs including FordPro and FCTP Analyze industry and regional market trends to identify growth and conquest opportunities Build and manage a proactive lease maturity pipeline, identifying customers approaching end-of-term and executing retention outreach to maximize in-brand renewals
Fleet Acquisition and Management:
Oversee fleet vehicle acquisition, deployment, lifecycle management, and disposal in compliance with Ford Motor Company and regulatory standards Negotiate competitive pricing and terms with Ford Motor Company, FordPro Commercial, and approved vendors Manage Ford fleet incentive programs, commercial account structures, and FCTP eligibility to maximize dealership profitability Ensure timely vehicle maintenance, repairs, inspections, and documentation Monitor and implement fleet safety and compliance programs consistent with federal, state, and local regulations Lease Retention and Customer Development Execute a structured lease retention program targeting Ford Motor Credit lessees approaching maturity within 3-9 months Conduct proactive outreach via phone, email, and CRM (VinSolutions) to retain expiring leases and convert to new retail or commercial transactions Collaborate with the Finance/F&I team to structure competitive lease and finance options that support customer retention Develop and maintain strong relationships with commercial accounts, government entities, and repeat fleet buyers
Vendor and Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong professional relationships with Ford Motor Company regional fleet contacts, FordPro representatives, commercial clients, and third-party vendors Negotiate, execute, and manage vendor contracts to support operational and financial goals Represent the dealership at Ford fleet events, commercial vehicle showcases, and industry functions
Financial and Performance Management:
Develop, manage, and monitor fleet and lease retention budgets Track performance metrics including units in service, lease maturity capture rate, fleet gross per unit, and cost trends Prepare and present regular performance and financial reports to dealership leadership Coordinate with the Controller on floor plan compliance, holdback reconciliation, and fleet invoice accuracy To be successful in this role, you must have: Ford Motor Company experience strongly preferred , including direct familiarity with Ford Fleet programs, FordPro Commercial, FCTP, and Ford Motor Credit commercial account structures Proven experience in fleet management, lease retention, or a related automotive commercial role Demonstrated ability to build and work a lease maturity pipeline with measurable retention results Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record Strong working knowledge of Ford vehicles, vehicle lifecycle management, and maintenance best practices Fleet management certifications or Ford manufacturer training considered a significant asset Proficiency with CRM and fleet management software; VinSolutions experience is a plus Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Strong written and verbal communication skills; professional presence with commercial clients
Compensation Details:
Estimated On-Target Earnings (OTE): $55,000 to $130,000 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and performance. We thank all applicants for their interest in this position; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
