Position Summary The Freight Supervisor plays a critical role in the success of our Denver operations by managing daily freight flow, coordinating drivers and customer deliveries, maintaining system accuracy, and ensuring clear, professional communication across all stakeholders. This role serves as the operational hub between customers, drivers, and leadership to ensure service reliability, accuracy, and efficiency.
Starting Pay:
$57,784.00 DOE What We Offer Health Insurance Dental & Vision Insurance 401(k) Retirement Plan PTO Plan Key Responsibilities Scheduling & Dispatch Build and maintain daily and weekly driver schedules. Assign routes and loads based on capacity, service commitments, and priorities. Adjust schedules in real time due to delays, call-offs, weather, or customer changes. Communicate schedules and changes clearly to drivers. Customer Coordination Answer inbound calls and emails promptly and professionally. Coordinate and arrange customer deliveries. Resolve customer inquiries and troubleshoot delivery issues. Build and maintain strong customer relationships, especially during last-minute changes. Portal & System Maintenance Maintain accuracy across TMS (Xcelerator), customer portals, and internal tracking systems. Enter, update, verify load data, delivery status, and exceptions. Upload and manage documentation and ensure system alignment with physical freight. Manifest & Documentation Produce accurate daily manifests and route paperwork for Driver(s). Prepare and dispatch bills of lading, invoices, and delivery documents (print/email). Verify load details, quantities, and destinations. Resolve discrepancies with drivers, customers, or leadership. Driver Monitoring & Support Monitor driver activity throughout the day for on-time performance and compliance. Track departures, arrivals, and exceptions. Address delays, service risks, and route issues proactively. Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers during operating hours. Communication & Follow-Up Manage operational inboxes and respond to internal and external emails. Document service issues, escalations, and resolutions. Escalate service risks, complaints, or compliance concerns when necessary. General Operations Support Resolve shipping delays, order conflicts, and exceptions. Process both routed and on-demand orders. Perform general office and operational support tasks as assigned. Qualifications Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Critical thinking and problem-solving ability. Comfortable working independently and collaboratively. Preferred Experience College degree or equivalent experience Prior supervisory experience in freight courier services 1-2 years of customer service, dispatch, logistics, or transportation experience preferred. Experience with TMS, dispatch software, or customer portals is a plus. This job description is not exhaustive and may evolve based on business needs.
