This position is responsible for implementing and overseeing the project's traffic control plan, lane closures, construction zone signing, setting up and taking down lane closures and supervision of flaggers. Duties and Responsibilities Must be able to coordinate and inspect traffic control set-ups for conformance with approved traffic control plans. Ensure all safety and PPE policies are followed by all workers on the jobsite. Communicate effectively with employees, project supervisor, foremen, traffic control manager and customers. Responsible for the placement of traffic cones, arrow boards or other traffic safety devices in the work zone at beginning and end of shift. Supervise other traffic control flaggers on the job site. Complete daily paperwork, timesheets, tickets, etc. timely and accurately. All other duties as assigned
Education and Qualifications:
Must have a valid Colorado driver license and clean MVR. Must have and maintain CCA or
ATSSA TCS
Certification. Must be able to pass a drug screen and a background check. Required Skills and Abilities Must have the ability to travel to jobsites in Denver and surrounding areas. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with team members inside and out of the organization.
Physical Requirements Key:
Rarely (0-20%), Occasionally (21-50%), Frequently (51-80%), and Continuously (81+%) Continuously stand and walk for extended periods in roadway work zones and construction site environments. Frequently communicate verbally with crews, subcontractors, the public, and project personnel. Frequently utilize close vision, distance vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and focus adjustment to monitor traffic patterns and work zone safety. Frequently perform repetitive hand and wrist movements while handling traffic control devices, equipment, and documentation. Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb while setting, adjusting, and inspecting traffic control devices. Frequently work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, rain, and snow. Occasionally lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Occasionally navigate uneven terrain, roadways, embankments, and active construction sites. Occasionally enter and exit company vehicles and travel between project locations. Rarely sit for extended periods while completing administrative tasks, reports, or project documentation. Continuously maintain awareness of moving vehicles, heavy equipment, and changing traffic conditions to ensure work zone safety. Work Environment This position primarily works outdoors in roadway and construction site environments with exposure to moving traffic, heavy equipment, varying weather conditions, noise, dust, and other conditions common to heavy civil construction projects. Work may require extended hours, nights, weekends, and travel between project locations. Limited office work is required for planning, documentation, and coordination activities.
Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
