Full Job Description Job Overview:
The purpose of the Transportation Department Supervisor is to organize and coordinate the activities of the transportation department; supervise all transportation staff; communicate directly with parents; and other related work as required. Supervisor is responsible for loading patients, monitoring their healthcare, assessing patient's medical status and reports changes to facility staff.
Requirements:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) One (1) year of verifiable PPEC experience and/or experience working with young children for at least two (2) years Level 2 Background Check Current certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and BLS (Basic Life Support) Ability to effectively read, write and speak fluent

Responsibilities:
Organize the schedule for the Transportation department. Responsible for updating EMT bus routes and telephone list as needed. Prepare transportation bus sheets weekly. Audit transportation bus sheets on a weekly basis. Training new employees. Coordinate transportation for PPEC patients with Medicaid assigned transportation company. Organize patient routes and confirm attendance with parents. Create and update standing orders as needed. Responsible for ensuring all EMT assessment forms are completed accurately each shift and forwarding to nursing department each week for addition to patient records. Evaluate job performance for transportation department employees. Collect EMT timesheets if corrections to timesheets are needed. Approve transportation department staff time off requests. File transportation sheets in patient folders. Assuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are transported with the child. Respecting the rights of children and parent's confidentiality, while conforming to law if signs of suspected abuse or neglect appear Maintaining required paperwork in an organized, legible fashion Interacting with children in a loving, positive and consistent manner Identifying emergent medical situation and responds accordingly Restock transportation equipment Communicates with transporters to ensure children are scheduled to arrive to and from facility safely and in a timely manner Responsible for giving a verbal report to the nurses on arrival at the center, including any communication from the parents. Will practice universal precautions at all times. Any other duties requested by the Administrator and Director of Nursing.
