POSITION
FLEET MANAGER We are currently seeking a qualified and dynamic Fleet Manager to join our team at COMANCO. We are looking for an individual who can oversee the efficient operation, maintenance, and safety of our construction fleet.Job Focus:
Fleet Maintenance and Repair:
Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for all vehicles and equipment. Coordinate routine inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance. Manage relationships with external maintenance vendors and service providers.Asset Management:
Track and monitor the utilization of the fleet, ensuring maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Implement inventory management systems to track spare parts, tools, and equipment. Conduct regular audits to assess the condition and value of the fleet assets.Compliance and Safety:
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to fleet operations and safety. Develop and enforce safety protocols, training programs, and policies for the construction fleet. Investigate and report any accidents or incidents involving company vehicles.Budgeting and Cost Control:
Collaborate with the finance department to develop and manage the fleet budget. Identify opportunities for cost savings, negotiate contracts with vendors, and monitor expenses related to fleet operations.Data Analysis and Reporting:
Collect and analyze data related to fleet performance, fuel consumption, maintenance costs, and other relevant metrics. Prepare regular reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators and recommending improvements.Team Leadership:
Supervise and mentor a team of fleet maintenance technicians and support staff. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting a safety-first culture within the fleet department.Procurement and Disposal:
Collaborate with the procurement department to acquire new vehicles and equipment, ensuring alignment with project requirements and company standards. Manage the disposal process for aging or obsolete assets in an environmentally responsible manner.Work Environment:

Education and/orExperience:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.Supervision:
Demonstrate principles and practices of effective supervision to lead and manage Fleet personnel.Environmental Compliance:
Understand state and federal environmental laws related to hazardous materials used in vehicle repair and maintenance.Training Methods:
Utilize effective training methods for repair techniques and equipment operation within the fleet service operations.Cost Estimation:
Estimate costs of vehicle repairs to make informed decisions on equipment acquisition, repair, or disposal.Budget Administration:
Demonstrate proficiency in preparing and administering budgets for efficient fleet management.Computer Skills:
Possess a working knowledge of database software, internet software, spreadsheet software, word processing software, and Outlook.Driving Record:
