Full Job Description Overview:
MasTec Civil is hiring an MOT Supervisor to support growing infrastructure work in the Tampa, FL area! The MOT Supervisor is a leader whose primary responsibility is to supervise and maintain traffic within the project's limits for the duration of the construction period, including any temporary suspensions of the work. Setup and maintain lane closures and detours. Furnishes, installs, and maintains traffic control and safety devices during construction. Provides and other special requirements for safe and expeditious movement of traffic specified on the plans. Maintenance of Traffic includes all facilities, devices, and operations as required for safety and convenience of the public within the work zone. COMPANY OVERVIEW

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Delivery, Installation, maintenance, and removal of temporary traffic control devices at job sites. (Signs, cones, barricades, arrow boards, etc.) Flagging traffic/managing others during flagging operations. General maintenance and repair to work related equipment and vehicle. Plan and develop maintenance programs, schedules, and timetables; assist in establishing and administering traffic maintenance policies and standards; communicate and direct implementation of changes in policies, standards and regulations to subordinates. Plans, organizes and supervises all equipment and materials needed to set-up, take down, maintain traffic control, and handle traffic-related situations. Supervise and coordinate activities of traffic control technicians and traffic control specialists; assign specific projects and monitor activities to ensure compliance. Manage Comdata Cards (Including PIN assignments, ordering and replacing cards). Control and compliance of tags for company vehicles. Assist all employees with questions on payroll and timesheets Coordinate and manage office business technology needs (including copies, computers, and information technology) Serve as a liaison for employees in coordination with HR Department. Provide administrative support to the fleet manager and staff. Performs other related duties as assigned Provides technical assistance in preparing project specifications. Review existing operations; develop and make recommendations on improved methods and procedures for traffic maintenance activities. Provide verbal and written status reports and special reports as needed. Maintain regular, punctual attendance during regularly scheduled work hours at assigned worksite. Work a flexible schedule which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
This position typically is not an entry-level job, as it requires demonstrable previous experience as a MOT Superintendent. High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required. 5 years of experience planning, organizing, and supervising all equipment and materials needed to set-up, take down, maintain traffic control, and handle traffic-related situations is required, 2 years of which were at the lead level or an equivalent combination of closely related training and experience. Must be able to understand work directions and communicate effectively with management and fellow employees.
