As the Senior Transportation Manager, you will oversee a multi-location operation with up to 100 company drivers. Your focus will be on P&L, asset management, safety, customer service, driver onboarding and operations staff development. What you'll do on a typical day:
- Maintain responsibility for overall P&L to meet established budgets and forecasts
- Ensure the effectiveness of the operation's communication, interaction and relationship with company drivers
- Oversee the management of tractor maintenance, compliance and service delivery
- Handle 1-2 on-site managers who supervise a total of 20-30 employees
- Track operational performance including on-time pick-up and delivery, volume, equipment balance and empty miles
- Ensure driver recruiting and retention meets established fleet size goals What you need to succeed at
GXO:
At a minimum, you'll need:- 5 years of transportation management experience
- Advanced knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
- Solid experience in the principles and practices of the transportation industry It'd be great if you also have:
- Bachelor's degree
- 10 years of experience in the transportation industry
- Dedicated Fleet Management experience
- Ability to find opportunities to increase accuracy, optimize resources and implement solutions We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.
