Job Description

The Atlanta University Center (AUC) Robert W. Woodruff Library is seeking an organized and proactive Shuttle Service & Transportation Coordinator to lead the planning, operations, and contractual aspects of our multi-campus shuttle system across the Atlanta University Center campuses. In this role, the Shuttle Service & Transportation Coordinator will coordinate outsourced shuttle providers, oversee onboard technology, and steer fleet management and on-demand mobility initiatives. This role will partner with vendors and campus departments to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective transportation for students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Shuttle Service & Transportation Program Coordinator Role:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Transportation Management, Public Administration, or related field. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in logistics, fleet, transportation, service delivery management operations, or contract administration. Ability to pass a criminal background and drug screen. Proficiency with operational management and analytics software. Experience working with outsourced service providers. Strong understanding of financial reporting and budget management, as well as the ability to understand and manage regulatory standards.
Preferred Experience & Credentials:
Experience in higher education or multi-site non-profit environments. Experience implementing GPS tracking or transportation technology systems Familiarity with micro-transit or on-demand mobility solutions. Project Management Certification (PMP or equivalent)
Key Job Responsibilities:
Direct day-to-day oversight of transportation service delivery and contracted shuttle service vendor(s) while proactively communicating with passengers, faculty, and staff to keep everyone informed of the status of operations. Establish repeatable workflows, service quality standards, rider communication protocols, and performance reporting. Present findings and recommend continuous improvement initiatives to management. Manage contracts to ensure adherence and participate in amendments, renewals, and scope modification discussions as needed. Monitor service performance against contractual KPIs including, but not limited to, on-time performance, quality standards, customer service, and safety compliance. Develop, manage, and oversee transportation operating budgets. Meet with passengers and campus groups to promote the transportation system and to develop content for websites, rider guides, and social media. The Atlanta University Center (AUC) Robert W.
