ABOUT THE ROLE JPC
Logistics, LLC is looking for a hands-on, experienced Transportation Manager to oversee daily operations of our fleet of 8 trucks and 99 trailers. This role is the primary point of accountability for DOT compliance, fleet performance, and driver management. The right candidate is a proactive leader who thrives in a fast-paced logistics environment and takes ownership of both operational efficiency and regulatory adherence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
▪ Oversee the full operation of a fleet of 8 trucks and 99 trailers, including scheduling, routing, dispatch, and preventive maintenance coordination ▪ Serve as the primary person responsible for all DOT compliance including driver qualification files, HOS regulations, ELD monitoring, vehicle inspections (DVIR), and FMCSA audit readiness ▪ Recruit, onboard, train, and manage drivers; conduct performance reviews and enforce company safety and conduct policies ▪ Manage trailer pool utilization and coordinate with maintenance vendors to minimize downtime and keep equipment roadworthy ▪ Track and report on KPIs including on-time delivery, cost per mile, fleet utilization, and safety metrics; drive continuous improvement ▪ Negotiate and manage carrier and vendor relationships; coordinate with warehouse and customer service teams to ensure on-time delivery commitments ▪ Manage the transportation budget; identify and implement cost-saving measures across fuel, maintenance, and carrier spend
Pay:
$60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
