As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to oversee our expanding fleet of construction equipment, trucks, and support vehicles. Position Summary The Fleet Manager is responsible for the overall management, maintenance, utilization, and compliance of MPW Infrastructure Group's fleet of heavy equipment, trucks, trailers, and support vehicles. This role ensures equipment availability, maximizes fleet performance, controls operating costs, and supports project teams across multiple job sites. Key Responsibilities Manage and oversee the company's fleet of heavy construction equipment, on-road trucks, trailers, and support vehicles. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to maximize uptime and equipment longevity. Coordinate repairs, inspections, licensing, registrations, and compliance requirements. Monitor fleet utilization and provide recommendations for equipment allocation, acquisition, replacement, and disposal. Track maintenance costs, fuel usage, and equipment performance metrics. Manage relationships with vendors, dealerships, service providers, and equipment rental companies. Oversee equipment telematics systems and analyze data to improve productivity and reduce downtime. Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA, EPA, and company safety requirements. Work closely with project managers, superintendents, and operations leadership to support project equipment needs. Maintain accurate fleet records, maintenance histories, and asset inventories. Develop annual fleet budgets and assist with capital equipment planning. Supervise fleet maintenance personnel and coordinate shop operations as needed. Lead initiatives to improve fleet efficiency, reduce operating costs, and enhance equipment reliability. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, Mechanical Engineering, Transportation, or related field preferred. 5+ years of fleet management experience, preferably within heavy civil construction, infrastructure, mining, or transportation industries. Strong knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance, fleet operations, DOT regulations, and asset management. Experience managing construction equipment such as excavators, dozers, motor graders, loaders, cranes, dump trucks, and service vehicles. Proficiency with fleet management software, telematics platforms, and maintenance tracking systems. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to analyze fleet data and make strategic operational decisions. Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred but not required. Preferred Qualifications ASE, Certified Equipment Manager (CEM), or related certifications. Experience with GPS and telematics systems such as Samsara, Verizon Connect, Fleetio, or similar platforms. Experience managing multi-location fleets.
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
