Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and reliable Delivery Driver Agent to join our distribution team at The Paducah Sun. This vital role involves ensuring timely, safe, and efficient delivery of goods to our customers while providing excellent customer service. The Delivery Driver Agent plays a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate distribution of newspapers and related publications. This position is responsible for route delivery, supporting independent delivery agents, resolving service issues, and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction. This role requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Duties
- Deliver publications to designated locations, distribution points, and post offices
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule
- Assist with open or vacant delivery routes
- Troubleshoot and resolve delivery issues
- Maintain and update delivery route documentation
- Assist with warehouse/outback operations
- Perform monthly collections from dealers and rack locations
- Collaborate with team members and contractors Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior delivery or logistics experience preferred
- Valid driver's license and clean MVR required
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Work Environment & Schedule
- Overnight and early morning shifts
- Typical hours: 11:00 PM - 8:00 AM
- Outdoor work in all weather conditions
- Schedule may vary based on operational needs Physical Requirements
- Lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly
- Push/pull up to 100 lbs occasionally
- Frequent loading and unloading
- Extended periods of driving
- Standing, walking, and reaching required
