Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a Traffic Control Supervisor to lead and oversee traffic management operations at DOTD construction sites. In this vital role, you will coordinate the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project timelines. Duties Supervise and coordinate traffic control activities across construction sites to ensure safety and efficiency Manage the setup, maintenance, and removal of traffic control devices such as cones, barriers, signs, and flagging stations Collaborate with construction teams to plan traffic flow and implement utility locating procedures to prevent service disruptions Train and lead traffic control personnel in safety protocols, proper equipment use, and operational procedures Conduct regular inspections of traffic control setups to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational guidelines Maintain detailed records of daily operations, safety incidents, equipment usage, and site activities Requirements Valid Traffic Control Supervisor certification Prior experience supervising traffic control teams or managing traffic operations on active construction sites Excellent communication skills for coordinating with construction crews, safety personnel, and project manager Knowledge of safety regulations governing construction zones and traffic management practices
