Fleet Manager•
Refuse Rental Specialists Location:
Ashland, MA Employment Type:
Full-Time CDL Required (Class B or Class A) Overview Refuse Rental Specialists is growing quickly, and we're looking for a highly organized, hands-on Fleet Manager to oversee our rental fleet of refuse trucks. This role is critical to ensuring our vehicles operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities Fleet Oversight & Maintenance Management:
  • Oversee daily operations of our rental fleet across multiple yards.
  • Maintain preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Coordinate and track maintenance and repairs.
  • Conduct regular inspections.
  • Manage breakdowns, roadside events, and replacement vehicles.
Samsara Fleet Monitoring:
  • Monitor engine hours, PM intervals, fault codes, locations, and utilization.
  • Set up and maintain alerts and reporting.
  • Provide fleet health reports to leadership.
Logistics & Operations:
  • Move trucks between yards and customer sites (CDL required).
  • Coordinate delivery and pickup schedules.
  • Maintain accurate truck status records.
  • Prep and stage trucks for customer rentals.
Inventory & Compliance:
  • Maintain inspection logs (DOT, annuals, 90-day checks).
  • Track parts inventory and shop supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations.
  • Maintain registration and inspection documentation. Ideal Candidate
  • CDL A or B required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude; refuse truck experience preferred.
  • Experience with fleet-management software (Samsara preferred).
  • Highly organized
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Able to work independently. Physical Requirements
  • Ability to climb in/out of trucks and inspect equipment.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working outdoors year-round. What We Offer
