The individual selected will supervise dispatch staff and manage drivers on dedicated, "JIT" round trip loads while safely meeting revenue and mileage goals for drivers and equipment. Candidates will need to possess excellent communications and computer skills (satellite tracking and TMW dispatch software), be multi-task orientated, and enjoy a fast-paced work environment.
Transportation Supervisor Essential Functions:
Coordinate with management to ensure workforce capacity and capability is in place to meet customer and company requirements Support goal establishment of improvements in managed areas, promoting ongoing continuous improvement efforts May act as the primary contact for fleet operations to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness Managing dispatchers, overseeing, coordinating, dispatching and managing drivers to ensure timely pickup and delivery of all truckload shipments from vendors to auto assembly plants or other locations Assist with and enforce driver electronic log compliance to HOS regulations and company policy Interface with other central dispatch staff, customer service and customers Promote driver safety and safe work place performance Interfacing and updating computer trucking systems Evaluate driver performance and compliance.

  • 6 am, 4 days on 4 days off rotating
Qualifications:
College degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or other closely related degree a plus Previous dispatching and dispatch supervisory experience in the trucking industry is required Must possess excellent leadership ability Excellent communication and computer skills Thrive in a fast-paced environment, and be a proven problem-solver In lieu of a degree, five years of recent transportation experience in a similar role would be considered
