The Building Maintenance & Resident Transportation Coordinator is responsible for performing routine building maintenance and providing safe transportation for residents to and from appointments and community outings. This role supports the overall upkeep, safety, and functionality of the facility while ensuring residents have reliable transportation when needed. This position plays an important role in maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.WHAT YOU'LL DO
Perform routine maintenance tasks including painting, light plumbing, electrical repairs, carpentry, and HVAC system checks. Conduct regular inspections of building systems (interior and exterior) to ensure functionality and safety. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders from staff or residents. Assist in the setup and breakdown of furniture or equipment for facility events or resident needs. Perform preventative maintenance on facility equipment and systems according to schedules. Maintain records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance work completed. Ensure all maintenance work complies with safety regulations, building codes, and facility standards. Coordinate with vendors and contractors as necessary for specialized repairs or installations. Assist with emergency response efforts during power outages, inclement weather, or urgent repair needs. Support the housekeeping or groundskeeping teams as needed to maintain a clean and orderly facility. Maintain cleanliness and routine checks of company vehicles and report any maintenance concerns. Follow all traffic laws and company safety policies while transporting residents. Basic knowledge of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry. Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively. Ability to troubleshoot issues and perform repairs safely and efficiently. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently. Good communication and interpersonal skills, especially with elderly residents. Reliable, responsible, and committed to maintaining a safe and welcoming environment.QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent. 1+ years of experience in general maintenance, or facilities experience; experience in a healthcare or senior living environment is a plus. Basic knowledge of building systems and groundskeeping practices. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Valid chauffeur's license required and acceptable driving record. Must pass background check.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
: Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb ladders as needed. Ability to climb and work from ladders up to 15 feet in height. Ability to operate hand and power tools safely. Frequently required to climb ladders or stairs. Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.Pay:
$16.00 - $18.00 per hourBENEFITS
